Infinity’s Got Talent – Official Voting & Scoring Terms
These Terms apply to all individuals present during Infinity’s Got Talent events at Infinity Southend, including but not limited to contestants, supporters, audience members, guests, and venue patrons.
By attending the event, voting, performing, or participating in any way, individuals agree to the Terms set out below.
1. Overview
Infinity’s Got Talent is a live performance competition held at Infinity Southend.
These Terms ensure a transparent, consistent, and fair scoring and voting process for all participants and patrons.
2. Judging Panel & Host
Performances are evaluated by three judges:
Shelstar – Infinity Southend Promoter
Shyanne O’Shea – Trans DJ, model, and former drag icon
Guest Judge from Southend City Radio – rotating media partner representative
The competition is hosted and presented by Lady Ophelia Hole (Lady OH).
Judges may change throughout the competition at management discretion.
3. Judges’ Scoring
Judges score performances independently.
Scores reflect talent, performance quality, stage presence, originality, and audience engagement.
Each judge awards points using a fixed points system.
Judges’ combined scoring forms the primary element of each contestant’s final result.
Judges’ scores remain confidential until results are announced.
4. Public Voting
Public voting provides a bonus to contestant scores.
Public votes are submitted using a QR code link and unique voting codes issued by venue staff.
Each voting code may only be used once.
Votes submitted without a valid code will not be counted.
Voting periods are controlled and announced during the event.
5. Allocation of Voting Codes
Voting codes are issued to patrons purchasing qualifying drinks during the voting period.
To ensure fair and proportional public voting:
One voting code may be issued per qualifying drink purchased.
The number of voting codes issued per order cannot exceed the number of qualifying drinks purchased.
Split orders are permitted.
Voting codes may only be redeemed during the active voting window.
Voting codes may not be transferred, sold, duplicated, exchanged, or obtained without a qualifying purchase.
This system links votes to participation within the venue while preventing disproportionate influence.
6. Vote Weighting & Fairness
Public votes contribute a bonus toward contestants’ final scoring only.
Judges’ scoring remains the determining element of the competition.
Public voting may influence close results but cannot overturn a clear judges’ lead.
The competition is not pay-to-win.
The scoring structure protects performance merit and fairness for all contestants.
7. Misuse & Disqualification
Infinity Southend reserves the right to:
refuse, retract, or void voting codes suspected of misuse
remove votes not linked to valid codes
suspend, adjust, or withdraw public voting in the interest of fairness
disqualify contestants or groups attempting to manipulate the voting process
Any attempt to interfere with, duplicate, automate, or fraudulently influence votes may result in immediate disqualification.
8. Final Results & Casting Vote
Final scores consist of judges’ scoring plus any applicable public vote bonus.
The contestant with the highest final score progresses or wins.
In the event of a tie, management reserves the right to cast the deciding vote.
Management and judges’ decisions are final and binding.
No appeals or correspondence will be entered into regarding individual scores.
9. Behaviour & Conduct
These expectations apply to contestants, audience members, supporters, patrons, and guests present at the event.
Infinity Southend operates a zero-tolerance policy toward abusive, aggressive, hostile, discriminatory, or inappropriate behaviour.
Abuse, harassment, threats, or intimidation directed toward contestants, judges, staff, venue security, or other patrons will result in:
removal from the competition or venue
disqualification where applicable
forfeiture of votes or scores
Any disorderly conduct affecting safety, wellbeing, or enjoyment of others will not be tolerated.
Venue rules, licensing conditions, and safety policies apply at all times.
Management reserves the right to refuse entry or service in accordance with licensing obligations.
